Singapore public holidays in 2024 announced, with 5 long weekends
The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has announced the dates of Singapore's public holidays for 2024, with five long weekends.
Of the 11 public holidays next year, five will fall on a Friday, Sunday, or Monday. The second day of Chinese New Year falls on a Sunday, so the following Monday will also be a public holiday.
Here is the full list of public holidays in Singapore in 2024:
- New Year's Day - Monday, January 1
- Chinese New Year - Saturday, February 10
- Chinese New Year - Sunday, February 11 (following Monday is a public holiday)
- Good Friday - Friday, March 29
- Hari Raya Puasa - Wednesday, April 10
- Labour Day - Wednesday, May 1
- Vesak Day - Wednesday, May 22
- Hari Raya Haji - Monday, June 17
- National Day - Friday, August 9
- Deepavali - Thursday, October 31
- Christmas Day - Wednesday, December 25
The five long weekends in 2024 are:
- February 10-12 (Chinese New Year)
- March 29-31 (Good Friday and Easter Monday)
- April 9-11 (Hari Raya Puasa and the following Monday)
- June 15-17 (Hari Raya Haji and the following Monday)
- August 9-11 (National Day)
